Monday- Enjoy your day off! Get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and do your very BEST on the PSSA tests.

No homework this week due to PSSA testing Tuesday through Thursday. Reviewing math skills with Study Island will help improve test scores.

VO 3rd Marking Period test - March 27th- Study!

Continue to practice multiplication facts.

No spelling this week We will concentrate on preparing for the PSSA math tests.

New VO words will be given so continue to study every night. There will be a quiz on Friday, and the big 3rd Marking period test will be Friday March 27th. Practice on the Wikispace!

All periods - math PSSA practice problems Monday through Friday. If possible check your child's work and discuss strategies for problem solving. Pages H2 - H 5 in the back of the math textbook is Tips for Sucess on the PSSA. We will be reviewing these pages in class. You may want to go over it with your child too. Study Island practice each evening will also help your child to prepare.

Multiplication tables still need to be memorized - use flash cards or computer games.

All Periods- Spelling Test Friday

For the next two weeks math class and homework will concentrate on reviewing for the PSSA testing which begins March 16th. Your child will be completing practice tests with both multiple choice questions and open-ended responses. Please check your child's homework. Help and strategies coming from both of us will only improve your child's score. Listen to your child read the problem and discuss how to find the solution. Thank you for your help and cooperation.

Memorization of math facts will only add to your child's math abilities. Please continue to study facts with computer games and flash cards.

Miss Gannon will be moving to First Grade with Mrs. Fey. We are going to miss her! She did a GREAT job and will make an EXCELLENT teacher!

Math facts need drill and practice. Reviewing any of the PSSA test lessons in the textbook and the reviews at the end of the chapters will help you child achieve success on the PSSA test.

On Friday Bloomsburg University students will share a Dr. Seuss Book and activity with each of the 4th grade classrooms. We will also have special activities on March 3rd. Read some Dr. Seuss books with your child at home! Share the joy and fun of reading!

All periods will have math worksheets Tues., Wed., and Thurs. PSSA testing is fast approaching and we need to practice our facts and word problems.

Bonus math points - 15 minutes each night on Study Island ( Great practice for PSSA)
Even though there is no written homework over the weekend, spend time studying facts and VO.

All Periods- Math worksheet Monday through Thursday

Multiplication facts need to be memorized! Earn 10 bonus points on next test! Spend at least 15 minutes Monday through Thursday studying your facts. Use flash cards or one the the computer games mentioned in my previous blogs. On Friday bring in a note signed by a parent that you practiced. Knowing you facts will make division and fractions so much easier.
