All Periods- Spelling Test Friday

All Periods- VO Quiz Please check your child's assignment book for the number of words to study

For the next two weeks math class and homework will concentrate on reviewing for the PSSA testing which begins March 16th. Your child will be completing practice tests with both multiple choice questions and open-ended responses. Please check your child's homework. Help and strategies coming from both of us will only improve your child's score. Listen to your child read the problem and discuss how to find the solution. Thank you for your help and cooperation.

Memorization of math facts will only add to your child's math abilities. Please continue to study facts with computer games and flash cards.

Check your child's assignment book daily for additions or corrections. Thank you!

Miss Gannon will be moving to First Grade with Mrs. Fey. We are going to miss her! She did a GREAT job and will make an EXCELLENT teacher!

All periods- Spelling test -Friday VO Quiz (Prefixes, Suffixes, Roots, and words 1-20 for the 3rd Marking Period)- quiz Friday You're more than half way to a VO T-shirt; keep studying for at least 10 minutes a night!

All periods will have math homework Monday through Thurs. evenings
Math facts need drill and practice. Reviewing any of the PSSA test lessons in the textbook and the reviews at the end of the chapters will help you child achieve success on the PSSA test.
Testing dates Between March 16th- 27th.

Spelling - Monday
Period 1 - Words 1-6 (5 times)
Period2- Pretest corrections 5 x and a story using at least 12 of the words due Thurs. Writing skills are improving!
Period 3- pretest corrections 5 x words(1-6) sentences

Spelling -Tuesday
Period 1 - Words(7-12) 5 x
Period 3- sentences words7-12

Spelling Wednesday
Periods 1&3- complete worksheet
Period 2 - Reminder story due tomorrow

Thursday
Periods1&3 worksheet all periods- study for test

On Friday Bloomsburg University students will share a Dr. Seuss Book and activity with each of the 4th grade classrooms. We will also have special activities on March 3rd. Read some Dr. Seuss books with your child at home! Share the joy and fun of reading!

Bonus points this week -Play skill games or Free Rice!

Monday- Enjoy the day off!

All periods - No spelling this week -Next list will be the week of the 23rd.

All periods- VO Quiz on 3rd marking period prefixes, sufixes, and roots- Keep Studying at least 10 minutes EVERY night.

All periods will have math worksheets Tues., Wed., and Thurs. PSSA testing is fast approaching and we need to practice our facts and word problems.

Bonus math points - 15 minutes each night on Study Island ( Great practice for PSSA)
Even though there is no written homework over the weekend, spend time studying facts and VO.
